In Umbria you will find the most beautiful landscapes, authentic cuisine with beautiful wines, peace and culture. Polmone Turismo Verde is a small-scale holiday spot in rural Umbria. The new Dutch owners Sylvia and William also live on the property. They will ensure that everyone immediately feels at home at this special place. You can totally relax here and you can even enjoy the flora and fauna of Umbria without leaving the grounds. Polmone is also a wonderful base for a brisk walk, a city trip or avisit to your favorite new restaurant.
EXPERIENCE THE LUXURY OF ABSOLUTE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE
There are few holiday destinations in Europe where you can stay so far away from everything. Around the apartments, you see nothing but wooded hills, green fields and the occasional village in the distance. You will only be disturbed by the buzzing of bees and the chirping of crickets. There is a swimming pool for cooling off and around the apartments there is plenty of space to relax.
A TRUE LITTLE PARADISE
Polmone was once a farmstead, in a secluded spot in the middle of nature. From the main road, a path led to the farmhouse. On the ground floor, the farming family kept their livestock, the pigs had their own stall, slightly away from the main building. There was no electricity, water was drawn from the river down the valley and bread was baked in the large bread oven next to the farmhouse. Although we have all modern conveniences today, life in this place remains simple. You can really get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life here. A treat, allowing you to return from your holiday well rested.

The farming family kept their cattle on the ground floor, the pigs had their own stable, some distance from the main building. There was no electricity, water was fetched from the river down in the valley and bread was baked in the large bread oven next to the farm.Although we now have all the nice amenities, life in this place remains simple. Here you can really get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A blessing that allows you to return from your holiday well rested.
AUTHENTIC YET COMFORTABLE
The rustic character of the flats has been well preserved over the years. Comfort has been taken into account when furnishing and tasteful details have been added. A nice reading corner, a spacious sofa and the colours reflect the different shades found in the immediate surroundings.
THE HOSTS
In 2022, we, Sylvia and William, took the step of moving to Umbria from the Netherlands to take over this well-run holiday business. The place was well known to us; because of its fantastic location and friendly owners, we booked an apartment every few years to rest, and explore the beautiful surroundings. Now that we are welcoming guests ourselves, we hope to give them as good a time as we have always had.
OUR SWIMMING POOL
Welcome to our swimming oasis, an all day sunny corner on the grounds. Whether you're looking for a relaxing float or an invigorating workout, our pool offers a water escape to suit every mood and preference. Relax on the comfortable sun loungers and enjoy the sound of the swallows that pass by in large numbers several times a day to take a sip or quickly get a wet plumage. The swimming pool is walled all aroud, making you feel like you are in a historic Roman bath. It is located a short distance from the apartments, so that if you're not actually swimming yourself, you won't be bothered by the typical swimming pool noises. On the other hand, it is certainly also a place to connect with other guests, have a drink together and discuss the day's experiences. The bottom of the pool is cleaned manually, early every morning, and an accurate chlorine dosing device ensures hygienic and pleasant bathing water.
